How to make finger puppets: Dinosaur and Owl
April 21, 2012 by Olha
Here is another photo tutorial for finger puppets: Dinosaur and Owl. A pattern for them and their friends can be found here.
Making the body.
Knit the last three stitches of the body together.
Pick up 11 stitches going down the dinosaur’s spine, 12 stitches on the needle.
Spine plates are worked flat on 4 stitches each using short rows. Bind off all stitches of the last plate, fasten off the last stitch.
Secure it on the ‘forehead’.
This is single chain stitch used for the eyes.
Dino’s eyes are made with 8 chain stitches that form an octagon.
Nose is made with two single chain stitches, one for each nostril.
Dinosaur is done!
Owl’s face is made with the same 8 single chain stitches and one stitch forms the beak.
